Write for INI

A new voice does not have to be a loud one.

INI makes room for writing that is personal, literary, curious and intelligently ironic. It is not looking for a single genre or worldview, but for writers with a voice of their own—and something worth looking at more closely. Essays, satire, stories, short fiction and personal observations are all welcome.

Applying does not guarantee publication. The editorial team reads every submission. Once accepted, a writer receives a private workspace where they can draft new work or upload a manuscript for editorial consideration.

Why publish on INI?

Your own author page. Your own workspace. A place for your writing and your readers.

INI offers more than a place to publish. You can have your own author profile and workspace, prepare your writing, organise it into series and gradually build a readership of your own.

Following editorial review, manuscripts can be published on their own INI pages. You can propose free-to-read or paid access; for paid work, you set the proposed price within the permitted range, subject to final editorial and commercial approval.

All within a shared, multilingual literary space where your name and your work remain connected.

90 / 10

How revenue is shared

Authors receive 90% of distributable net revenue. INI receives 10%.

You indicate whether your writing should be free to read or available for individual purchase. For paid writing, you propose a price between €1.00 and €20.00. Publication and the final access and price decision require editorial and commercial approval.

Stripe’s actual payment-processing fees are deducted first. Of the remaining distributable net revenue, 90% goes to the author and 10% to INI.

10%INI

The 90/10 split applies after actual payment-processing fees and the deductions or adjustments specified in the Author Terms, including refunds, reversals, disputes and related fees—not to the gross purchase price. The payment-processing fee is separate from INI’s 10% share.

Illustrative example
ItemAmount
Price paid by the reader€2.00
Stripe payment-processing fee — assumed example amount−€0.30
Distributable net revenue€1.70
Author’s share: 90%€1.53
INI’s share: 10%€0.17

The €0.30 fee is illustrative only, not a Stripe fee quote. Actual fees may vary by transaction. The example assumes no other deductions or adjustments.

Paid sales and author payouts require the applicable INI and Stripe verification and payout requirements to be met. Publication does not guarantee sales or income, and a purchase is not the same as an immediate bank payout.
