The Big Bang and April Fools’ Day
Introduction

What if the Big Bang happened today? There would be a livestream, a hashtag, premium content, an auto-renewing subscription — and, naturally, millions of people explaining to physicists what had really happened. Over morning coffee, Henry, Margaret and John take on the universe, modern certainty and the strange confidence of people who know very little. Brutus, meanwhile, has other priorities.

A scientific paper published on April Fools’ Day.
A universe that may or may not need a subscription plan.
And three people over morning coffee trying to decide which is harder to understand: cosmology or modern confidence.

Brutus, wisely, stays out of it.
